Bride of Messiah.
Welcome aboard The Clarion Express, because we are going to talk about the
Bride of Messiah.
We do not hear too much about the Bride of Messiah. Did you know that the Bride of Messiah is much like any other bride? June is a big month for weddings, but the wedding day does not come without preparations. The bride has many things to do and so does the groom. We want to look at what we need to do to prepare for our Bridegroom who is coming soon. Well, first of all everyone knows that the bride puts on a beautiful white dress and adorns herself with jewels.
Revelation 7: 13-14 tells us this, “Then one of the elders responded, saying to me, ‘Those who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?’ I said to him, ‘My lord, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”’
Isaiah 61: 10 says, “I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, my soul will be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a groom puts on a turban, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
Yeshua tells this story in Matthew 25:1-10, “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ ‘Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.”
The oil is the oil of the Holy Spirit. The oil was used to anoint the kings and priests and prophets. Psalm 45:7- 14 says, “You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of joy above Your companions. All Your garments are fragrant with myrrh, aloes, and cassia; from ivory palaces stringed instruments have made You joyful. Kings’ daughters are among Your noble women; at Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir. Listen, daughter, look and incline your ear: forget your people and your father’s house (the world); then the King will crave your beauty. Because He is your Lord, bow down to Him. The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; the wealthy among the people will seek your favor. The King’s daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is interwoven with gold. She will be brought to the King in colorful garments; the virgins, her companions who follow her, will be brought to You.
The Bride of the Messiah must lose her life to gain life. She must not be part of this world for her home is in heaven as John 14: 1-3 tells us about the bridegroom. “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me so that you also may be where I am.” Revelation 21:23-27 says, “And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Checklist: Clean white garments, adorn with the precious jewels of the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:15-21), the oil of the Holy Spirit for light, a home to live in. Sounds like we’re ready, Revelation 19: 7-9 says it’s time. “Let’s rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself. It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the true words of God.”’ Are you ready? Have you prepared? Any day now the Groom may come and sweep His Bride away. Is your lamp lit, your clothes washed and your heart is devoted only to the Bridegroom? Revelation 22:14, “Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.”
