Everything Is Always Moving.
Life is based on time and time is always moving. Second by second, minute by minute, we go from hour to hour to day to day and the years keep coming and going. The planets keep orbiting around the sun to give us our seasons, and our days and nights. Yet, it seems as though time can drag and yet time can go by so fast. Isaiah 40:6-8 says this about life. “A voice says, ‘ Cry!’ And I said, ‘What shall I cry?’ All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the LORD blows on it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God will stand forever.”
Yes, as they say, “Here today and gone tomorrow.” Genesis 1:1 says this, “God created the sky and the earth. At first, the earth was completely empty. There was nothing on the earth. Darkness covered the ocean, and God’s Spirit moved over the water.”(ERV)
In the beginning even the Spirit of God was moving over the water and to this day, bodies of water keep moving because of gravity and the winds. The Holy Spirit is spoken of this way in John 3:8, “The wind blows wherever it wants to. You hear it, but you don’t know where it is coming from or where it is going. It is the same with everyone who is born from the Spirit.”
The water is spoken of this way in 1 John 5:6-8, “This is the One who came by water and blood, Messiah Yeshua; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.”
60% of an adult’s body is water and 1.2-1.5 gallons is blood, all of which keeps moving. Genesis 1:3-4 goes on to say, “Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.”’
God’s Word is still speaking today, and because of that, we still have light. In fact God’s Word will continue to be heard throughout eternity, because God’s Word is eternal. Light always keeps moving unless it bumps into something which will absorb it, otherwise it keeps moving at the speed of light. Light travels at a constant, finite speed of 186,000 mi/sec. Alpha Centauri which they claim is our closest star is about 4 light years from Earth. So we see light can travel indefinitely. 1 John 1: 5 says this, “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.”
John 1:1-5 also says this, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and that life was the Light of mankind. And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.”
Genesis 1:16-18 says,“God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.” Let’s look at the sun. The sun is 150.4 billion meters away from Earth. The Earth orbits the sun once every 365.3 days. It would take more than a lifetime to reach it. But according to Einstein, the closer to the speed of light you travel, the more the time dilates ( i.e. the slower your clock ticks) and the more the lengths contract. A photon, the smallest particle of light, can travel at the speed of light, which is the fastest speed there is, and where there is no time and or distance. In other words, photons have no age and they do not experience time. So we have seen God in His creation in many ways, for God is eternal and He does not live in time. At the time of creation there was no time as we see, not until God created the sun and moon and stars, and from these the light will continue forever or until God rolls up His creation like a garment, (Hebrews 1:12). When God spoke light into existence, even the sound of His voice continued through time, even though sound waves travel slower than light, they both continue. Did Einstein find the infinite God in His creation? One day we too will live in a world without time in God’s new creation of heaven and earth, (Revelation 21). Today God’s Word continues to be heard and because of it, His creation continues as when He first spoke it. God does not sit idly by, nor does His creation, nor should we. Creation is God’s witness to who He is and we who are His people ought to also be a witness to who He is. We can not be stagnant. We must always be growing in the knowledge of God. And we must always be speaking God’s Word, His True Word. Our light must not only be by word but in deed. That means we must live out God’s Word. God’s Word is alive and we must be alive in God. We must live by the Spirit and walk by the Spirit and we must be the true light and truth, being led by the Holy Spirit. This is how God’s Word gets written on our hearts and this is what keeps us moving forward toward God. We must be people of the Bible, not people led by a religious institution. Yes, as believers we should always gather together, but we should gather with like minded believers, those who live by God’s Word and not by man made traditions. God created six days, then He rested and sanctified the seventh day. How can we not rest on the seventh day and say that we believe in the God of creation? God keeps moving, time keeps moving and life keeps moving on. Nothing stands still. As Acts 17: 28 tells us, “For in Him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, “We are His offspring.’’’
